Introducing Palette at the MacLaren

We are incredibly excited to introduce Palette, a new café experience coming to the MacLaren Art Centre in downtown Barrie.

Palette is an extension of everything we believe food and community should be — thoughtful, welcoming, and rooted in creativity. Inspired by the art and culture that surrounds the MacLaren, the café will be a place where people can gather to enjoy beautiful coffee, fresh food, and simple, well-made dishes throughout the day.

The menu will focus on seasonal ingredients, house-made pastries, vibrant sandwiches, and carefully prepared coffee from Good Monday Coffee Roasters, all served in a space designed to feel calm, creative, and inviting.

For us, Palette represents something special. After nearly a decade of operating Homestead Artisan Bakery just down the street, it feels incredibly meaningful to create another space in the heart of downtown that brings people together.

We believe cafés — much like galleries — are places where people pause, connect, and experience something memorable. Palette is our way of blending those two worlds.
